We are bursting with pride to hear three talented Deaf people have achieved an award at The World Through Silence festival, in Russia. David Ellington won the Best Director award for Hope, Louis Neethling won Best Crew for Still Here and Jemma Joyce won Best Actress for To Know Him.

At Together! 2021 Disability Film Festival, Being Marcus won Best Documentary and Deaflympics: Running Out of Time? won Best Film in a Language other than English. They also screened Here/Not Here and Two Deaf Yorkshiremen in Lockdown.

And we have more! Two Deaf Travellers won 1st place for Independent Travel Video at CIFFT’s (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) World’s Tourism Film Awards in Spain!

Vox Furem was nominated for Best Horror Short Film at the British Short Film Awards, too

There have also been a lot of fantastic screenings lately! Here/Not Here was screened at Lyrici Arts, Double Discrimination was screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and Hope and Two Deaf Travellers were screened at International Short Film Festival Pune, India.

Wow! What a list! We are delighted! Many congratulations to everyone involved in making these films!
