The first Della Awards were presented last weekend, at Della, an international deaf film festival, which was held in Germany.
Here’s some brilliant news; Diagnonsense won two awards; Best Short Film and Best Actor (Ilan Dwek)! Louis Neethling from the production company, Mutt and Jeff Pictures, and Lisa Kelly, one of the main actors, went to pick up the awards.
Louis commented: “As producers, Mutt and Jeff Pictures are so happy for the director and writer, Samuel Dore, and actor, Ilan Dwek, and indeed proud of everyone involved in front of and behind the camera on this production. It is wonderful to have our hard work recognised by the Della Awards.”

Finally, Four Deaf Yorkshiremen and a Wedding was also screened at the Della festival, as well as at the Hungarian Disability Film Festival, along with Four Deaf Yorkshiremen’s Contest.
