New Chief Executive and Interim Chair for BSLBT

Posted on 12th July 2019

After 10 years as BSLBT’s Executive Chair, Ruth Griffiths’ role has been split into two and the post of Executive Chair has now been closed by the BSLBT Board.

Long-standing BSLBT trustee Lynn Cutress has taken on the role of Interim Chair, and Ruth has become BSLBT’s Chief Executive.

Lynn’s brief is to recruit a permanent Chair for BSLBT and to support Ruth over the next few months. Lynn said, “Having a separate Chair and Chief Executive is best practice for a charity and so this is the right move for BSLBT. The Board thanks Ruth for her leadership since 2009 and is delighted to be working with her still as Chief Executive.”

Ruth said,  “I’m very pleased to move to this new role and I look forward to working with the Board, my colleagues and our talented and dedicated programme-makers in the next phase of BSLBT’s journey.”
