Dorothy “Dot” Miles, was a Deaf poetry pioneer and activist who died 26 years ago.  This week, you can find out more about her work, as our documentary, Dot’s Legacy, is on TV again.  In it, Nadia Nadarajah looks through an amazing collection of Dot’s poems, diaries, books and photographs in the British Deaf History Society archives.  Dot’s dream was that her work would live on after her, and indeed it has done; in the programme, several Deaf poets and VV artists perform parts of Dot’s poems and explain how her work has influenced theirs.  Not to be missed!

You can also watch via the BSL Zone app - download it for your Apple device, Android device or Kindle Fire, if you haven't already done so.
