VV - Visual Vernacular

A French programme exploring the art of VV, featuring five VV artists, each representing a different generation and style.

Documentary. Made in France by Point du Jour and presented by Pauline Stroesser, VV - Visual Vernacular features several different sign languages with English subtitles. This programme follows top VV performers from around the world: Bernard Bragg, Giuseppe Giuranna, Ace Mahbaz, Guy Bouchauveau and Nicola Della Maggiora. As well as being treated to clips of their performances, we learn from these experts what the art form of VV is all about, where it came from and what it involves.

  • It was a good documentary about VV.
Learned about about 9 characteristics but it was very useful.
