Sofia 2013 Deaflympics: Programme Two

The second part of our round-up!

The second of our two programmes covering the 2013 Deaflympics in Sofia. This is the 22nd instalment of the Deaflympics, and the second time it has been held in Bulgaria. For starters, we follow David Grant's progress in the Karate, where he faces a shock just as a medal is within reach. We look at Britain's young Swimming team, and there's action from the GB Women's Football team as they try to go one better than 2009, when they finished fourth. Will penalties stand in the way of medal success? We talk to Fiona Brookes, the Chef de Mission for UK Deaf Sport, about how she's supporting our athletes. Athlete Lauren Peffers aims to win a medal in the 400m, despite an injury, while in Badminton, Rajeev Bagga aims to add to his five golds and one silver in past Deaflympics. Finally, we meet a 2017 Deaflympics hopeful and examine some of the financial rewards on offer for Britain's competitors.

This is Part 2 of 2; watch Part 1 here.
