Shakespeare: Found in Translation - Behind the scenes

Find out more about how the Shakespeare: Found in Translation documentary was made.

In this behind the scenes film, the team behind our documentary Shakespeare: Found in Translation explain how they approached the making of their film. The documentary covers the rehearsal period for Deafinitely Theatre's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which was performed at Shakespeare's Globe in London in June 2014. Here, director Cathy Heffernan and producer Louis Neethling explain how their film aims to capture how the company translated Shakespeare's Old English into British Sign Language. We also see clips from the editing room. This documentary is a Mutt and Jeff Pictures production, while the behind the scenes film was made by director Sam Dore.
