Professor Knowitall shows us the earth’s crust and how it is made up of incredibly hot liquid iron, which radiates heat. It is magma that is nearer the surface that shoots up during a volcanic eruption. Meanwhile, Dr Spark goes climbing in Snowdonia in Wales to show how lava turns into solid rock.
