Interview with Ilyaas Cader, a Deaf refugee from civil war in Sri Lanka, who has made his home in Britain.

Chat show. The third series of Close Up, the BSL Zone's in-depth interviews with well-known Deaf people. In this episode, Tessa Padden interviews Ilyaas Cader, who fled civil war in Sri Lanka to seek a new life in Britain. As a boy, he survived the bombing of his Deaf school in Jaffna. • This is a great life story. I had the good fortune of meeting Ilyas a few years ago. A great role model and is giving so much back to the community.
