Join BSLBT's Commissioning Advisory Panel

Do you watch TV?  Would you like to help BSL Zone?

We want to make sure that different kinds of people can tell us their views about which programmes could be made for BSL Zone.  Our Commissioning Advisory Panel aims to make this happen.

We are now looking for up to six people to join the panel.  The panel is chaired by our Head of Commissioning, Maggie Swinfen.  Our Executive Producers and some of our Trustees are also on the panel.

Are you thinking of joining the panel?  If so,

•    You will need to have watched lots of BSL Zone programmes and know what BSLBT does.
•    It is very important that you can keep things fully confidential.
•    You will also have to tell us if you might have any conflicts of interest (for example, if you are interested in making BSL Zone programmes yourself).

A fixed fee will be paid.  For more information, please see the role description in the video on this page, or click below to download it in PDF:

If you have any questions before you apply, please email - she will email you back, or you could have a Zoom chat if you prefer.

TO APPLY, please send us:

•   Your CV (it needs to be relevant and up-to-date).

•    A letter, in BSL or English, saying why you are interested in joining the panel.

Please also click here to read an example of a programme proposal, then…

•    Tell us what you think of it and explain why (by email or BSL video).

Please email these 3 things to by noon on Wednesday 24th February 2021.

Maggie Swinfen and a BSLBT Executive Producer will interview those who have been short-listed by Zoom in February or early March 2021.

We are especially keen for BSL users and people of Black, Asian and minority ethnic heritage to apply.

We will use your email address to contact you about our programmes and news. For more information, please see our privacy policy.
