We are proud to report that there was another stunning award win for our documentary Who Cares? last weekend, at Finland's Sign Language Film Festival.
The film, which was made by Mutt & Jeff Pictures, won the Best Foreign Film award, in front of an audience of 250 people.
Who Cares? addresses the issue of care for elderly Deaf people, focusing on three people in very different situations.
The festival showed five Finnish films and 10 foreign films, by filmmakers ranging from amateur to professional.
The organiser of the festival said that many of the audience members "are still talking about Who Cares? now, because they know there's lonely Deaf people and they want a safe future for themselves."
One audience member in attendance said that the film should be shown at the Finnish parliament.
There was another British success at the festival, with AC2.com winning an Honorary award for their documentary Silent Odyssey, which followed Deaf sailor Gerry Hughes as he sailed around the world.
