Our fans in the East Midlands will get the chance to see our programmes and meet our actors and filmmakers at our Derby showcase on 1st December!
We will be showing a special premiere of our Christmas film Tree Fairy, plus our films Five Needles and Still Here!
You can also get a taste of our upcoming comedy-drama Four Deaf Yorkshiremen go to Blackpool with a screening of the short comedy Four Deaf Yorkshiremen, which features the same characters!
Plus, we will also be showing programmes that feature the local Deaf community in front of, or behind the camera!
As well as other local people, in attendance will be comedian John Smith, actress Emily Howlett, actor/director Janeene Streather, writer/director Charlie Swinbourne, actress Rebecca Withey, presenter Ashley Kendall and many more!
The showcase will be held on Sunday 1st December between 1.45pm-5pm at QUAD, Market Place, Cathedral Quarter, Derby, DE1 3AS.
There will be capacity for 220 people at the showcase, and it's open to all. There will also be a box room where people can socialise and there is a cafe too.
Steven Wynne, the BSL Zone's Outreach Worker, said: “Many talented actors and filmmakers live in Derby and the East Midlands and they deserve to have the showcase so that other locals can see their talents on the big screen!"
