Our new (Unofficial) YouTube channel!

Posted on 17th December 2019

We’re absolutely delighted to be able to announce our new YouTube channel, which is called BSL Zone Unofficial (not to be confused with our old BSL Zone Official channel!).

You may be wondering what this is all about! Jen Dodds, our Digital Editor explains: “We wanted to do something a little bit different, and at the same time, give younger Deaf people a platform to express themselves.  Yes, we’re doing the administrative stuff like uploading videos, but we’re keen not to get too involved in the content – what they say really is independent and “unofficial”!

“We’re thrilled to be kicking off with a video from the brilliant Raabia Hussain, who tells us about her experiences of filming abroad – and there’s more cool stuff yet to come!”

So, make sure you check out BSL Zone Unofficial, the YouTube home of regular new content from our fresh young Deaf creators, all in BSL with English subtitles.  It’s here and Raabia’s video can be found here!

If you're interested in anything to do with media, acting, or anything in between, do subscribe (it’s free)!
