A young Deaf filmmaker has reached the final of a national film competition, and if he wins, he could be on his way to Hollywood!
William Horsefield, who won Young Deaffest in 2013 with a short film called I won't do that again! is one of five finalists in the Dream to Screen competition, which is open to young people aged 16-25.
In the last six weeks, he has had access to equipment, a production budget and a BAFTA mentor to help him create a new film, which is called Welcome to the Deaf World. (watch it on the right-hand side of this page)
His film is about a boy whose world changes overnight when he picks on a Deaf boy.

William told us:
"I'm so over the moon because I have had the chance to learn from a film industry mentor. I'm very honored because Dame Helen Mirren was a judge, and she picked my pitch idea which meant I became a finalist. I feel like she could see my bright future. She gave me the chance to launch my new career."
