The Trust now has three new board members, Simon Hesselberg, Jill Hipson and John Wilson. All three became Trustees on 1st October for an initial term of three years.
Simon Hesselberg has extensive experience of working with Deaf groups and organisations, and has also lectured in BSL and Deaf Studies. He is currently the director of Rexash Consultancy Ltd.
Jill Hipson teaches BSL and Deaf Awareness at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. She also has a wide range of voluntary commitments, working with organisations such as NADP, NDCS and Hertfordshire Police.
John Wilson is a consultant in Deaf Arts and BSL. He has worked as a Deaf arts practitioner, an actor and a sign poet and performer and is currently a BSL lecturer and guide for a number of high-profile arts institutions.

The Board is also pleased to announce that after two years as Web Editor of the BSL Zone website, Charlie Swinbourne is taking on new responsibilities as part of a development path and within the next 18 months is expected to take on a senior editorial role. His new title is Content Editor.
Charlie has joined the Commissioning Panel for the current tender round, and as well as having editorial oversight for online clips, is working on a new scheme for short-form online content for the BSL Zone.
