Our upcoming drama Battle Lines has been shortlisted for three awards at the Imperial War Museum's Short Film Festival 2014.

The film was one of 35 chosen from over 250 entries and is being shown at Imperial War Museum London.

The film, which was written and directed by Julian Peedle-Calloo, has also been shortlisted for 3 awards, for Best Creative Response, First World War Commendation and finally, for Audience Vote.

The winning films will be announced on 1st December.

The festival features films by amateur and professional filmmakers, exploring wars including WW1 and WW2 as well as other conflicts such as in Afghanistan.

The film premieres here on the BSL Zone site and on TV on Monday 10th November, but it can be seen before then at the festival, on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 28th October 11am-12pm
  • Sunday 2nd November 11am-12pm
  • Thursday 6th November 11am-12pm
  • Saturday 8th November 12-1pm

Battle Lines is about a Deaf man who looks for acceptance in his local community when he is prevented from serving in the war.
