As part of the BSL Zone's Wicked series, new Deaf filmmakers were given the chance to make a short film with support from Remark, who made the series.
Now, the BSL Zone is showing all of the Wicked Seeds films as stand-alone films for the first time!
The fourth Wicked Seeds to be shown is The Bag by Zeon Campbell. You can watch the film on the right-hand side of this page (or click here to go to the video page!).
We also interviewed Zeon about his memories of making the film. Here is what he said!
What is your film about?
My short film is about a briefcase that gets stolen. But who took it? Was it a gang, a man with the briefcase, or another man behind him?
The film asks who is showing their good side!
What was it like to be the director?
While I was making the film, I enjoyed everything because I used my own style - such as camera shots, and so on.
When I create my own storyline, I find it motivaties me because I use my imagery in the story.
Did you enjoy making the film?
I loved being around my friends, I found it easy to work together with them until the filming ended. They gave me a lot of support and I really enjoyed it!
How did you feel when it was finished?
After it was edited, I absolutely loved it but I was gutted that I had to delete other good clips because they didn't match with the timing of other clips.
What was the response like?
People had a positive response to my storyline, and some of them said I should carry on making other short films to keep improving on my career. I am proud myself of what I made with the crew!
