DAiSY, Disability Arts in Surrey, are looking for short films, made by disabled filmmakers or featuring people with disabilities, to be screened as part of Daisyfest on Thursday 9th June 2016 at GLive, Guildford.
Daisyfest 2016 is a cross-arts one-day festival led by disabled artists at G-Live in Guildford on 9 June featuring poetry, workshops, theatre, music, dance, film, installations and networking events. You can learn more about this festival by going to their website at: http://daisyfest.co.uk/.
The festival wants films that will engage a wide audience, and that may challenge and offer new perspectives. Films can be drama, documentary or animation but they need to meet the criteria below:
- no more than about 6 minutes in length, although extracts from longer films may also be considered
- suitable for an audience of 12+
Please do send your film as a link to YouTube, Vimeo or as a .mov file by Dropbox or WeTransfer to Jane McGibbon by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a short paragraph about you and your work.
The closing date for submissions is: Wednesday 4th May.
There will also be a Q&A session following the film screenings with a panel, please let Jane know if you would like to be a part of the panel of filmmakers.
